A Pattern Imprinted Concrete Driveway – A Great Edition to Any Home!

Lasting Impressions recently completed the installation of another stunning new driveway in Brooklands, Manchester. From the wide range of driveway options, our clients decided to have a pattern imprinted concrete driveway. It’s a great choice because it’s low maintenance, hard wearing and with the range of colours and patterns available, you can choose a combination that suits your taste and style.

Our clients decided on Royal Ashlar for the pattern and coloured in dove grey. You can see from the photographs what this colour and pattern combination looked like. It was an ideal choice for their outside space.

We accommodated an existing established shrub that was one side of the new driveway in Brooklands, Manchester as well as the border on the other side that had plants and shrubs in it. A pattern imprinted concrete driveway, gives you the flexibility of being laid over any size and shape of area and so if you have existing features that you want to keep, we can work around them.

We were also able to incorporate the front porch and build a step at the front door which was covered in the same colour and pattern as the rest of the new driveway in Brooklands, Manchester. We included an ACOS drain at the front in order to create somewhere for rain water to flow into. Because a pattern imprinted concrete driveway is not porous, this is essential to ensure it is SUDS compliant.

The last part of the process was to cover the surface with a mid-sheen acrylic seal with anti-skid. Not only does this give the driveway a lovely shine while preventing it from being slippery to walk and drive on, but it also enhances the colour of it.
