Stunning New Driveway in Urmston
With so many patterns to choose from that can create a very different effect, why limit yourself to one, when you can choose two or more patterns with pattern imprinted concrete driveways. That’s what some of our recent clients in Urmston did. For their new driveway in Urmston, they decided to cover a large portion of the front of their property in pattern imprinted concrete to create a parking area and pathway/driveway.
In order to define the different areas and break up the large space we used two different patterns for the new driveway in Urmston. For the paths and driveway our clients chose London cobble for the pattern, coloured in ash grey. For the parking area they opted for Grand Ashlar pattern, coloured in platinum. As you can see from the photographs included, while the patterns and colours were obviously different, they perfectly complimented one another. The borders were trimmed with acid stain which darkens the colour and creates definition. We sealed all of the pattern imprinted concrete with a mid-sheen seal with anti-slip system.
When installing pattern imprinted concrete driveways, it is important that it is SuDS compliant. With our years of experience, we know exactly what’s involved and what’s needed to ensure this. With this particular project we fitted an Acos drain. This is a trench drain made from stainless steel. Driveways require water drainage systems to enable surface water has somewhere to flow to. An Acos drain provides this.
Finally, to complete the overall look was an old vintage cast iron lamp post that we fitted in place outside the front door. Perfect with the London Cobble!
